Magic at Your Library Program

Looking for a unique, engaging program for your library events? You're in the right place! I offer a variety of interactive and entertaining magic experiences, from live shows to hands-on lessons.

Magic Shows & Balloon Twisting

Professional, high-energy magic shows up to 45 minutes long. These can be standalone performances or part of a series. Plus, there’s balloon twisting—either as an add-on to a magic show or as a separate attraction.

Perfect for Community Events!

Magic Lessons for Kids & Families

Flexible scheduling options include:

  • One-day intensive workshops (great for summer programs)

  • A five-day series (90-minute lessons each day)

  • The most popular option: Eight weekly lessons (60 or 90 minutes per class)

One-Day Wonder Shows (Show + Magic Lesson!)

These special programs combine a live magic show with an interactive lesson. Most tricks taught use everyday objects kids can find at home, and I will provide take-home materials as well.

Current One-Day Wonder Shows:

  • “What is Magic?” – Connects certain magic tricks with some of kids’ favorite school subjects.

  • “Secrets of Magic” – Encourages confidence, respect, and inner strength.

  • “Magic Words” – Explores the power of words like “please,” “I understand,” and “I’m sorry.”

Optional Take-Home Magic Kits

For a small per-child fee, the One-Day Wonder can include:

  • A custom file folder with tricks and activities

  • A specially packaged take-home magic trick

Why Book a Magic Show?

The question isn’t “should I book a magician at my library?” In fact, you should book more than one throughout the year. They’re great draws, and the community will love them. After booking my show, I can connect you to other great acts in the Austin area. But to justify the expense, you’ll need to report why you booked a specific act.

In this case, you’ll be booking a story-telling artist. A former elementary school teacher, a children’s book author, and a published parenting magazine author, literature runs deep in my values. Some libraries have asked me to follow the show with a story reading. I enjoy those so much I don’t charge extra to do so for about 15-30 minutes, assuming my schedule permits. Imagine a hilarious children’s magic show, including a story-time, so wildly entertaining the kids won’t differentiate between the magic show and the story time.

Every summer I offer a themed show based on the Summer reading Program, e.g., 2022 was “Oceans of Possibilities,” and 2024 was “Adventure Begins in Your Library.” But a “generic” magic show plus a book-reading in the middle has a theme in and of itself: reading is genuinely FUN! Ask about those, too, especially if you’re booking a non-summer show. Just select “Booking and Pricing” above.
